It’s a summer oasis at Koko Black

Recently, Koko Black launched their new summer oasis range of desserts and I was invited to come in to a salon and have a tasting of their latest desserts. I chose to go to Koko Black Claremont Quarter on a Friday afternoon for my afternoon sweet fix and to do some shopping after. Yes, I’ll admit I have a sweet tooth. FIrst up was the Raspberry Chocolate Dome ($10.50) which consists of milk chocolate and raspberry puree mousse with Madagascan vanilla custard and a liquid raspberry centre. How yum does that sound already! As delicious as it sounds, it was … Continue reading It’s a summer oasis at Koko Black

Adriano Zumbo Patissier

One of the places on my wishlist to visit in Sydney has always been Adriano Zumbo Patissier. After watching episodes of Masterchef and being wowed by Adriano Zumbo’s creations, I decided that it is a must visit for me to one of Adriano Zumbo’s patisseries. We took a short walk all the way to The Star from Sydney Fish Market for desserts at Adriano Zumbo. When we arrived, there were so many sweet treats on offer from macarons, tarts to pastries. I felt like I was a kid in a candy store. We decided to shared quite a few cakes … Continue reading Adriano Zumbo Patissier

Is Donburi and Meet Fresh

As I had a Sunday off from work, I decided to catch up with a few of my uni friends just before the semester begins. We decided to go to Is Donburi for lunch and this was my second time here. Is Donburi serves quality and value for money Japanese food from sushi, donburi to bento. When I arrived, Is Donburi was quite full as it was during the peak lunch hour but luckily my friend, Ernie was the first to arrive and got us a table. When everyone arrived, we had some time to settle down, catch up and … Continue reading Is Donburi and Meet Fresh

Superstar Waffles

One place I often go for desserts in Northbridge is Superstar Waffles which is located in the lane near Jus Burgers and Is Donburi. As the name suggests, Superstar Waffles is primarily a dessert shop selling waffles. The first time I came here with my parents, we love the place and the waffles! We ordered and shared the Berrylicious waffle ($9.50) and the Sweet Milk Waffle Stick ($4). The Berrylicious waffle and the Sweet Milk Waffle Stick was very delicious and it was not too sweet. During another one of my other trips here, I came with three of my … Continue reading Superstar Waffles
