About the foodies.

We are Mel and Elwyn, a food blogging and photography team.

A little bit about us….

Mel started this food blog in order to improve her writing skills during her Masters of Science Communication in UWA. Since then, her journey in food blogging on Take Me To Foodie Heaven has continued and what began was a way to improve her skills in writing became a passion in her life.

Elwyn started his photography taking photos at weddings, portraits and street photography and soon enough transitioned to food photography. His latest project involved photographing Noodle Forum’s menu and advertising for their expansion to a franchise. Since then, he has joined the team at Take Me To Foodie Heaven and has used his expertise in taking professional photos for the blog and social media channels.

Disclosure: Every post written is 100% our own honest personal opinion. Every photograph taken is our own and can only be used with our permission. Depending on the type and atmosphere of the restaurant, we will alter our expectations just to be fair. When we get invited for event invitations, free meals or freebies, we will usually write up a blog post about our experience. To give transparency to this blog, we will ALWAYS indicate in the blog post that we have been invited for a tasting or an event. We will not use this space to include false opinions or other opinions which are not 100% our own.

Launching an event or opening a new restaurant/cafe? Do you want it to be featured on Take Me To Foodie Heaven? If you say yes, feel free to contact takemetofoodieheaven@gmail.com because we would love to be there. 🙂

  1. Hi Mel, you are the first Food Blogger in Perth I’ve heard say they don’t blog if it’s a bad experience. This is such a good attitude – I love it! Keep up the great work you put in to your photos. I’ll be sure to recommend you the many times I’m asked who a good food blogger in Perth is 🙂

    1. Hi Mark, thanks for your kind comment! 🙂 Same to you and keep up with the great photos too! Thanks again Mark and thank you very much for your support! 🙂

  2. This is so inspiring Mel… 🙂 I’d love to start up a blog of my own but my creative writing skills leave little to the imagination.. Maybe we can help each other! I can give you opinions from a Chef in the industry and you can help inspire me!
Keep up the good work!.. See you at training on Saturday 😉

    1. Thanks Roxi 🙂 You definitely should give it a try and yes we sure can help each other. That sounds great! 😀 See you on Saturday 🙂
