After our light meal or I should perhaps say “Starters” at Shanghai Street Dumplings, we took a short walk to Chin Chin which is located along Flinders Lane. Our initial plan was to have dinner at Chin Chin on Sunday evening. Shanghai Street Dumplings

After an hour’s walk (yes, we are walking again!) from Burch and Purchese in South Yarra, our tummies were making a familiar rambling sound again. It’s time for….MORE FOOD!! After our early morning adventure to Brighton Beach and an hour’s walk from Southern Cross Train Station, we arrived just at lunch time for our food adventure at Chez Dre. Tucked away in one of South Melbourne’s laneway is home to patisserie and cafe, Chez Dre, offering French-inspired sweets and savoury delights, pastries and a great selection of petits gateaux. After our little adventure at the Shrine of Rememberance and Royal Botanic Gardens, we decided to walk all the way to Miss Katie’s Crab Shack and to perhaps have a little wander around the Queen Victoria Markets after since it is right across the road from Miss Katie’s. It was a long walk up which took us around an hour, passing by many landmarks, shops and more eateries along the way until we finally arrived at our destination. The Grain Store

Melbourne is famous for its many little cafes – some hidden and some well known. On our very first day in Melbourne before embarking on our adventure to the Shrine of Rememberance and Royal Botanic Gardens, my two travel buddies, Ruiqi and Val and I head over to The Grain Store for a hearty breakfast to pump some fuel and give a kickstart to the morning.
