P’tite Ardoise Bistro

Every year, we celebrate that special day whether it is a milestone or just another year older and wiser. To celebrate my birthday, my family and I went to P’tite Ardoise Bistro for my birthday dinner. I was lucky to call up a day before to make a booking as I found out from the manager on that day that the restaurant was fully booked! Yep, and it’s a Thursday night too! One step inside P’tite Ardoise and I am instantly transported into a French Bistro in Paris. The atmosphere and ambience was cosy and romantic with soft French music … Continue reading P’tite Ardoise Bistro

Equateur

Located in the heart of Subiaco is Equateur. Equateur is a celebration of exotic cuisine from the Reunion Islands with influences from India, China, France, Madagascar and Africa under one roof. As mum’s birthday was approaching soon, I was lucky to book a table for dad, mum, Matt and I at Equateur. When we first arrived at Equateur, we were welcomed by a red carpet, followed by a red carpet service from the friendly and delightful owner, Mickael Maillot.  As we were there on a quiet Thursday evening, there were no other tables throughout the whole night apart for ours. I … Continue reading Equateur

Paris Cafe at Cambridge Forum International Food Court

During my usual lunch hour run at the Cambridge Forum International Food Court, I noticed a new resident at the food court. The empty store (previously Vietnamese) next to Malaysian Hawker has been replaced by Paris Cafe, a stall specialising in cafe-style French food. Think of sweet and savoury crepes and ratatouille. For our first visit during lunch, we shared a Mushroom Crepe and a Roasted Garlic. There was a generous amount of mushrooms and the crepe was really fluffy, smooth and delicious. The garlic was also roasted beautifully too! A handy hint- Paris Cafe only serve savoury crepes for … Continue reading Paris Cafe at Cambridge Forum International Food Court

Chez Pierre – a taste of France

Bonjour! Chez Pierre is a fine dining French restaurant located along Stirling Highway at the heart of the Western suburbs. With soft French music playing at the background, Chez Pierre is perfect for a dinner with friends, a date or to celebrate a special occasion. The atmosphere also made me feel that I am in the heart of Paris, the city of love. Cassandra, Clara and I had the Taste of Spring 5 course menu ($59.50) and Nhi had food from the Ala Carte menu. Each week the 5 course menu differs, so be sure to check out what they … Continue reading Chez Pierre – a taste of France

Bistro Guillaume

As it was my mum’s birthday, we decided to give Bistro Guillaume a try. The setting in Bistro Guillaume is both classy and cosy with views overlooking the Crown Perth’s luxurious resort-style swimming pool. The lime green highlights gives the restaurant a fresh look and their staff, dressed in Lacoste were professional and attentive.  (The French waiter who served us was very good looking!) From tables filled with businessmen to families, Bistro Guillaume caters for all. When we arrived, the menus were already placed on our table. From my research done prior to arriving at Bistro Guillaume, I knew what … Continue reading Bistro Guillaume
