The Little Pantry

On a Saturday morning, we decide to head to The Little Pantry at Shenton Park for brunch. When we arrived, the cafe was busy but at the same time, we were also lucky to be able to find ourselves a table by the window. We started off our brunch by having coffee. May Street Larder

Last week, I was invited to the launch of May Street Larder in East Fremantle, a few days before its opening. Surrounded by glass windows, the place is full of light. It was new, bright and airy. Le Monde and Kurtosh

To start off our last day in Sydney, we head down towards Surry Hills and had a little adventure around where we stayed for the past few days. After consulting Urbanspoon for some good cafes around Surry Hills, we decided to stop by at Le Monde for brunch. I had the Potato Rosti ($16) with smoked house bacon, spinach feta, poached egg, hollandaise sauce and pistachio. Chez Dre

After our early morning adventure to Brighton Beach and an hour’s walk from Southern Cross Train Station, we arrived just at lunch time for our food adventure at Chez Dre. Tucked away in one of South Melbourne’s laneway is home to patisserie and cafe, Chez Dre, offering French-inspired sweets and savoury delights, pastries and a great selection of petits gateaux. Melbourne is famous for its many little cafes – some hidden and some well known. Sprolo

After another round of BodyCombat team teaching with Liju at Goodlife Cannington, we decided to head out for brunch with our friends to Sprolo at South Perth. Sprolo is one new cafe which has just recently been opened a few months ago and yes, they do specialise by having good coffee as they have an in house roaster too. It’s springtime at Harvest Espresso

After teaching BodyCombat at Goodlife Cannington, I decided to reward myself with a nice brunch at Harvest Espresso with two of my friends, Liju and Veng Li before heading home. So far, I have tried Harvest Espresso’s Autumn and Winter menu and the food was amazing. Lenny the Ox

Located along Wray Avenue, Lenny the Ox is one upcoming cafe that is currently gaining its popularity in Fremantle. Oh, and I just found out that Lenny the Ox is also partly owned by the same people who operates Ootong and Lincoln, another local Freo institution. At Lenny the Ox, everything is made fresh from the start including their salads to sandwiches and even cakes. Millpoint Caffe Bookshop

I have heard so much about Millpoint Caffe Bookshop and one fine day, we decided to head down to Millpoint Caffe to give their brunch a try. Interestingly, this store is part bookshop and part cafe with seatings both in the bookshop and at the alfresco courtyard area outside. However, books are not allowed to be taken to the alfresco dining area. I realised that there are quite a few cafes around the Scarborough or Doubleview area, which is close to home.  After finishing a BodyPump class on a Friday morning, Matt and I decided to head to Pizzaca for brunch. Pizzaca is a small cafe located along Gildercliffe Street in Scarborough with seatings both outside and inside. As I had to work later in the afternoon until 9pm, I went for the Pizzaca Big Breakky ($22.50) and Matt, being the “healthier” other half had the Turkey, Brie, Avocado, Spinach and Cream Cheese ($10.50) sandwich.
