Bread In Common

I hardly travel to Fremantle unless it is for seafood or fish and chips. I realised that Fremantle is not only the home to seafood or fish and chips but it is also the home to many rustic, hip and chic cafes. Bread In Common is one of them. With the hanging lightbulbs, its rustic outlook and the long communal tables, it is definitely worth one’s visit. No reservations are required and walk-ins are perfectly fine. Bread in Common on the outside Bread in Common on the inside When you are at Bread In Common, you can’t leave without ordering the … Continue reading Bread In Common

Chez Pierre – a taste of France

Bonjour! Chez Pierre is a fine dining French restaurant located along Stirling Highway at the heart of the Western suburbs. With soft French music playing at the background, Chez Pierre is perfect for a dinner with friends, a date or to celebrate a special occasion. The atmosphere also made me feel that I am in the heart of Paris, the city of love. Cassandra, Clara and I had the Taste of Spring 5 course menu ($59.50) and Nhi had food from the Ala Carte menu. Each week the 5 course menu differs, so be sure to check out what they … Continue reading Chez Pierre – a taste of France

Foam Coffee Bar

One fine day, I decided to catch up with my friend from high school, Matt whom I have not met in a long time. We decided to catch up for some coffee and cake at Foam Coffee Bar in Leederville. When I arrived at Foam, my usual indecisive me could not decide which of the lovely cakes that I should order. I must admit that all of the cakes do look very tempting indeed. Both of us ordered the mocha. Matt thought that the mocha was just average. What was interesting was that adding some hundreds and thousands on top … Continue reading Foam Coffee Bar

Eat Drink Blog 2013 Day 1

To commemorate my 50th blog post, I decided to dedicate this post to an event which I have attended almost a month ago which was Eat Drink Blog 2013. (yes, I know this is a bit late as I have been busy with uni, catching up with blog posts etc.) Eat Drink Blog is a national conference held annually to bring the Australian food and drinks blogging community together. As I have just started my blog late April this year, I was honoured to be one of the delegates for Eat Drink Blog and I have never expected myself to … Continue reading Eat Drink Blog 2013 Day 1

I was invited to celebrate Appliances Online’s 8th Birthday which was held at Cupid’s Delight with a cake decorating masterclass and a launching of a national competition, which is to decorate an appliance-themed cake. Cupid’s Delight specialises in Cupcakes, Wedding Cakes, Birthdays, Special Occasions, Corporate and VIP cakes. The cake stylist/director behind Cupid’s Delight is Julia Pergoliti, who has ignited a love for cake when she created a 25th wedding … Continue reading Happy 8th Birthday Appliances Online!

Thai Corner

สวัสดี ครับ/ค่ะ ( “Sawasdee Krab” is for males  and “Sawasdee Ka” is for females) For 7 years in Perth, my family and I have been patronising Thai Corner. Yep, we live north of the river and for good food, one must be willing to travel. On a Saturday night after church, we decided to head to Thai Corner for dinner and to get some fix on some decent Thai food.  We were very lucky considering that we did not make any booking prior to coming to Thai Corner as the restaurant was busy. Judging from the awards hanging on the walls … Continue reading Thai Corner

The Hub Grill

Located among the shops in the Shelley Hub lies The Hub Grill, a true hidden gem. Everything is cooked from the heart to the table by the friendly chef and owner, Zaw, who is very welcoming and treats his customers like good friends. The staff at Hub Grill are also very friendly too. Although Zaw has a few waitstaff to assist him on weekends and sometimes one during weekdays, it is a one man band in the kitchen as all the dishes are cooked personally by Zaw. This was my second visit to Hub Grill and this time I brought … Continue reading The Hub Grill
