If you love all things chocolate and sweet, you will love the Guylian Belgian Chocolate Cafe.

I am sure everyone must have had a Guylian chocolate at some point in their life whether you were gifted a box of Guylian chocolate or as a reward for yourself. Guylian chocolates are most famous for their signature chocolate in a shape of seashells or a seahorse. Guylian was established in 1958 and at present, the chocolates are sold internationally in more than 100 countries.

We were invited to Perth’s first Guylian Chocolate Cafe in the heart of Perth CBD to try some of their desserts and to enjoy the Special Gold Dusted Christmas Coffee, a specialty for the Christmas season. The gold dusted coffees do look very pretty and unique with the shiny gold dust on top (Oohhh shiny…) and it definitely gave a festive feel. The coffee itself was actually pretty good.

We had two desserts to share and were recommended the Guylian Dark Baked Chocolate Cake ($14) and Passion Temptation ($14). The Guylian Dark Baked Chocolate cake is a  rich belgian chocolate cake with signature ganache, served with a scoop of Belgian chocolate ice cream. Attention chocolate lovers, this is the dessert for you! This dessert is full of decadent and rich chocolatey flavours that will take you to chocolate heaven.

The Passion Temptation was another popular dessert recommended to us which comprised of white chocolate mousse with caramelised passionfruit cream. If you prefer something lighter instead of chocolate, the Passion Temptation is a great choice. The white chocolate mousse was super smooth in texture and simply melt in your mouth. The caramelised passionfruit cream added a touch of fruity flavour to the dessert.

If you love desserts, the Guylian Chocolate Cafe is a must visit when you are in Perth CBD.  Guylian Chocolate Cafe also does high tea at $55pp which I would love to try one day and is perfect for celebrating those special occasions or just an indulgent treat! Yes, they are open until 12am on Friday and Saturday if you want to get your dessert fix. With a range of chocolates and desserts displayed, it is a feast for the eyes of a sweet tooth.
