One month ago, the Little Matcha Girl opened its doors for foodies and matcha lovers to enjoy some desserts, sip on some coffee or authentic green tea. Located along Preston Street, Como, it’s a little cafe that is not hard to find. The interior the cafe is simple, modern and clean cut with plenty of natural lighting coming from the glass windows. It’s welcoming and yet comfortable.
As Jess (@keepcalmandjusteat) and I had our brunch at The Precinct, we decided to head over to The Little Matcha Girl to enjoy some sweet goodies and of course our favorite, Matcha Latte. We shared a chocolate hojicha profiterole and ordered two matcha lattes. The pastry was crunchy on the outside. One bite from the profiterole and it revealed a smooth and bitter dark chocolate and hojicha creameux. The matcha latte was rich in matcha flavour with the perfect consistency. The little grains of roasted rice on top gives an additional hint of flavour.
As we were quite full from brunch, I decided to take away an Orange Yuzu Tart which I heard is one of the most popular pastries at The Little Matcha Girl. It’s a tart bursting full of tangy textures and a hint of sourness together with the crispy pastry, topped with a pillowy soft meringue.
If you are a matcha lover or have a sweet tooth, I recommend visiting the Little Matcha Girl for a dose of matcha and some desserts. I am looking forward to coming back to try other desserts the Little Matcha Girl has to offer.
Can’t wait to try this place, looks so cute!
