Asado

Okay…so I realised that this post is long and way overdue but here it goes!

Firstly, I would like to thank the lovely Laura Moseley for organising this bloggers brunch catch up at Asado a few months ago! As I had missed out on the launch party because I was away, I was excited to give Asado a try after hearing some good reviews about it. On a beautiful Saturday morning, we were seated at the outside dining area indulging and enjoying our food while chatting with each other away with a modern interior and a relaxed atmosphere.

For my dish, I ordered the Lamb Short Ribs with mint yoghurt and grilled garden greens ($22). The lamb short ribs were marinated well, juicy and tender. It was so flavoursome together with the mint yoghurt giving it a lovely texture and balance to it. The garden greens were fresh and I loved how the tomatoes explode in your mouth with one bite.

My fellow dining partners had the following dishes. Everyone on the table seemed to enjoyed their food and gave positive reviews. Looking at the photos taken, I must admit that the other dishes look really good too! So…let’s get ready for some food porn….

Tomato adobo, slow egg, house beans, labne, guacamole, tortilla chips (18)

Chilli eggs; slow eggs, rocket, feta, avocado, sourdough (18)

House-cured salmon, kipflers, tartare, dill verde ($21)

Brekky board; quinoa bircher, fruit, sourdough, boiled egg, jamon, relish ($19)

Overall, I really enjoyed the food at Asado and after attending the Taste of Perth festival recently and trying a few more dishes, I can’t wait to return for dinner. The dishes on the Parilla BBQ in the dinner menu has already caught my eye too. From breakfast to dinner, you can enjoy the flavours of Argentina featuring brunch with an Argentinian twist, street food and a parilla BBQ in a fine, relaxed atmosphere. It’s worth a visit.
