Perth is famous for cafes and coffee shops which serves breakfast and lunch. And now, brunch is currently trending in Perth. While doing my research on which restaurants are worth going on Urbanspoon, I stumbled upon the Tuck Shop which has a great rating (93% likes it!) and is currently on the Talk of the Town list.
When we arrived for brunch, the restaurant was quite full and I had to put my name down on a waiting list. We didn’t wait that long to be seated at our tables and our waitperson came and took our orders. Overall, the service was quite efficient and friendly. I ordered the chorizo, paprika potatoes, peppers and spanish onions with crispy pork belly and fried egg ($18.50). It was really good and the flavours blended very nicely together. The skin of the pork belly was crispy and the egg yolk was runny which is the way I love my eggs and pork belly to be cooked.

Dad ordered the Cheese Kransky with grain mustard potatoes and spinach, fried egg ($17.50) and mum ordered the Sauteed mushrooms with feta and spinach on multigrain sourdough ($16.50). I had a taste test of both dishes and it was delicious! The kransky when cut open, was oozing of cheese. It was pure goodness. The sauteed mushrooms was also very tasty and blends well with the sourdough, feta and spinach.

For our sides we ordered the hand cut chips ($4.50) which was thinly sliced with a sprinkle of salt. The chips was so delicious that we could not stop eating them. It was that good.
Overall, we agreed that Tuck Shop can be one of the best places in Perth for a good breakfast to start off the day, lunch or brunch. I would highly recommend Tuck Shop to others although I am not too sure if the prices are reasonable. But if the food is good, why not give it a try. It will be worth it. Oh yes, to all the coffee aficionados out there, I hear they serve good coffee too!
My Rating: mmm (good)
