Jaffle lovers rejoice! The Jaffle Shack which is a favourite Geraldton local has opened another store in West Perth bringing coffees, jaffles, and breakfasts to the Perth metropolitan area.

The people behind The Jaffle Shack, Karen and Christian strive to bring the nostalgia of delicious homemade food back to the Perth CBD where they want people to feel full and content after each visit.

Last Sunday, we popped down for brunch at The Jaffle Shack. We started off with the Nutty Chicken Jaffle which was recommended to us. The Nutty Chicken Jaffle which was packed full of fresh and flavourful ingredients comprised of chicken, chorizo, almonds, basil, mozzarella, spinach and aioli. Every mouthful was a delight and a burst full of flavours. And it did fill us up too.

We also shared the Okonomiyaki which is Japanese savoury pancakes topped with a perfectly poached egg on top (bonus points for a gooey poached egg!). It was cooked perfectly with a slightly crisp texture and the flavours worked really well with each other.

Because it was such a warm day, I had a Berry Smoothie and Elwyn had a Coffee and Iced Coffee. Can’t go wrong with a smoothie and iced coffee for a hot summers day!

It is so great to see more cafes opening up in the West Perth pocket. From the moment you step into The Jaffle Shack, you are greeted with a friendly and welcoming smile. There’s also a lovely outdoor area where you can dine just under the shady trees which is perfect if you have your furry friends with you.
