Located on Beaux Lane, Grab A Yabby is a new addition to the Mount Lawley dining scene. Love your seafood? Put on your bib and plastic gloves and get ready for an epic seafood feast!

We were invited by the Grab A Yabby team to come down for a blogger’s feast at Grab A Yabby. With our bibs and gloves on, we were ready to savour some seafood. We started off with kumara chips or sweet potato chips and some sliders to share. My favourite was he soft shell crab slider as it was crispy with one bite in the mouth complementing well with the soft and sweet brioche bun.

The night kept getting better with boards of pork and beef ribs which were brought out to the table. The pork ribs were marinated and glazed with a sweet and spicy marinade and was tender. However, the star of the night would be the beef ribs. It was sensationally succulent and melt in your mouth delicious bursting full of rich flavours.

Last but not least, we had a mix selection of seafood to try in a variety of sauces. There were Alaskan crab legs, Australian yabbies, Moreton bay bugs, Australian prawns and fresh clams. We were also given a variety of sauces to try the seafood with – Grab A Yabby Special (Cajun inspired sauced filled with spices that has peppery heat), XO (Asian inspired sauce containing lemongrass, shallots, dried prawns and scallops, Inferno (Moroccan inspired sauce with tomato and capsicum base mixed with herbs and spices) and Garlic Butter. It’s hard to decide which was my favourite sauce but I think it has to be the Grab a Yabby Special which has a slight spice kick to it. To all the chilli lovers, you can add your desired level of heat to your food from mild, hot, extreme to insane. If you love it very spicy, I highly recommend the insane.

To finish off our Grab a Yabby experience, we had some refreshing coconut jelly for dessert to cool down the heat.

Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience at Grab A Yabby and thought that it was a fun and innovative way to share and enjoy food! The seafood at Grab A Yabby is fresh but the prices are on the higher end depending on what you order. What are you waiting for? Put on your bibs, gloves and get ready to indulge in some delicious seafood. It’s messy and the most fun place in Mount Lawley to grab a yabby and enjoy good seafood.
