A few weeks ago, I caught up with food blogger/instagrammer, Lily (@foodieguide_lily) for dinner at Amico Cafe. Amico Cafe is a casual cafe located in the heart of the Stirling suburb with thin Italian crust woodfired pizza and homemade gelato as their specialty. As we were there on a cold, rainy Saturday evening, the cafe was mostly filled with a families enjoying their pizzas and indulging in gelato.
It was difficult to decide what to order because everything on the menu just sounds so good! In the end, we decided to go half and half Supremo and Meat Lovers. Both the Supremo and Meat Lovers were equally as good as one another and had a slight kick of spice. I really loved the Meat Lovers as it was bursting full of meaty goodness. However, what stood out on the pizza was the fluffy and crisp crust which had the perfect thickness. Overall, the pizzas were really fresh and delicious as it was cooked straight out from the woodfired oven.
With some space left in our stomachs, we decided to finish off with some homemade gelato. The pistachio gelato was one of the best I have had so far. It had a strong intense pistachio flavour which Lily and I agreed that it is Amico’s best gelato.
With such tasty pizzas and beautiful gelato, now I can see why Amico Cafe is a favourite among Stirling locals. It’s a true hidden gem that I will be back for their pizzas. Oh and not forgetting the amazing pistachio gelato!
That pizza looks incredible!
It was really tasty and delicious. Fresh from the woodfired oven 🙂
