Opening up at various locations in Perth, Health Freak Cafe focuses on clean and healthy eating while helping people to live happy, healthy, active and well balanced lives. Recently, a Health Freak Cafe has just been opened near me at Westfield Innaloo. With plenty of gyms in the vicinity of the area, Health Freak Cafe makes a perfect place to fuel up after a good workout in the gym. Undecided on where to go for lunch, mum and I decided to give Health Freak Cafe at Westfield Innaloo a try.
I had the chicken and mango rice salad ($23.60). The chicken breast was marinated in Moroccan seasoning grilled and served on coconut infused brown rice, tomato salsa, spinach and topped with mango puree and avocado. When it arrived, the dish was bursting full of bright colours. The chicken breast had a good amount of moisture and the coconut infused brown rice was creamy with a lovely coconut flavour. The mango puree gave the dish its natural sweetness and colour. Overall, I really enjoyed the chicken and mango rice salad as it was both delicious and healthy.
Mum had the grilled salmon over coconut cauliflower puree ($24.90). The 220g fresh salmon was oven baked and served on cauliflower puree with sun dried tomatoes, snow peas and asparagus topped with basil pesto and fresh lemon. I had a taste of mum’s dish and the salmon was grilled to perfection with a crispy texture to the skin. I love the smooth textures and the subtle flavours of the cauliflower puree which complements well with the freshness of the salmon.
To finish, we shared an original cocowhip ($7) for dessert which was a very refreshing finish to our meals. Perfect any time of the day and any season. Health Freak Cafe is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Got a sweet tooth and a sweet craving? Don’t forget to try their guilt free desserts too!
Health Freak Cafe can cater to any dietary requirements from Vegans, Paleo, Coeliacs, Dairy Intolerance, Diabetics and many more. With such delicious meals, I am already looking forward to the launch of the Health Freak Cafe Lounge at Floreat Forum.
