Located in the heart of Perth CBD at the corner of Hay and Milligan Street is Tiisch. The interior of Tiisch is gorgeous with high ceilings being located in a heritage building along with lush indoor plants and cascading vines. It’s simple and yet minimalistic.
On our off day, Elwyn and I decided to visit Tiisch. Elwyn had the butterfield beef rib with roasted eggplant mash and greenworld revolution vegetables ($26). The beef rib was deliciously tender, falling off the bone. It’s a texturally well balanced dish where the light and subtle flavours of the roasted eggplant mash complements well with the heavy textures of the beef rib.
I had the Orecchiette pasta with local mushrooms, brussel sprouts, leek veloute and parmigiano-reggano ($19). If you love both pasta and cheese together, this is the dish for you. There’s a lovely combination of earthy flavours from the mushrooms with the perfect amount of cheesy textures which blends well with the al dente orecchiette pasta.
With great food, warm and friendly service and a gorgeous space, Tiisch is definitely one cafe that is not to be missed. Yes, I am looking forward to returning soon!
