A while ago we were invited to the opening of Wonder Dawg & Co but unfortunately due to my hospitalisation for appendicitis I was unable to make it. On a Labour Day Monday, we decided to visit Wonder Dawg & Co since it was open on the public holiday. At Wonder Dawg, it’s all about hot dogs with inspiration from food and flavours around the world.
We started off with the Bi bim dawg, a Korean inspired hot dog which comprised of smoked chilli cheese sausage, namul (Korean seasoned vegetable), kimchi, sesame seeds and Wonder Dawg’s gochujang mayo. If you love a good chilli kick, this is the hot dog for you as it is deemed to be the spiciest on the menu. It’s a flavoursome hot dog bursting full of punchy, spicy Korean flavours.
Our next destination is Mexico after Korea. We shared a Mexi Dawg, a Mexican inspired hot dog. It’s a hot dog packed full of Mexican flavours comprising of smoked chilli sausage with salsa, guacamole and Wonder Dawg’s nacho cheese. We loved the combination of the refreshing salsa, creamy guacamole and the spicy smoked chilli sausage. It sure is a Mexican fiesta on your tastebuds!
We tried the new Pizza Dawg during our visit. The Pizza Dawg comprises of a premium smoky cheese sausage, topped with pizza sauce, chopped tomato, green capsicum, mushroom, olive, pineapple and melted cheese. It’s delicious, crunchy and cheesy.
For our sides, we had the Corn Dog. We enjoyed the corn dog. It had a thick layer of cornmeal butter surrounding the smokey flavours of the sausage, with an added punch of flavours from the tomato and mustard sauce.
As it was a warm day, Ika offered us some refreshing mixed drinks for us to try. We had the WD Summer Fizz and the PomChee.
We had an enjoyable meal at Wonder Dawg and were so full after. If you want to give Wonder Dawg a try, I highly recommend you to check out their Facebook page or Instagram (52_wd) to find where they are next!
We would like to thank Ika for offering us a 50% discount and for the warm hospitality during our visit at Wonder Dawg.
