Following a whole day of feasting and eating, Elwyn and I decided to have something simple and healthy for a change as we were on our 12 week challenge. We decided to head to Pearth Organic Kitchen located along Cambridge Street at West Leederville. With plenty of natural lighting and a simplistic decor, Pearth Organic Kitchen makes a great place to catch up over food and coffee.
Elwyn had the OMG Omega Bowl ($28) which comprises of sustainably farmed Tasmanian salmon with spinach, cucumber, tomatoes, basil, avocado, a miso sesame dressing and crusty bread. The salmon was cooked to crispy on the skin and tender complementing well with the fresh flavours of the vegetables. I love the miso sesame dressing on the vegetables, giving it a lovely, sweet, miso flavour.Â
I had the Macro bowl ($19) which consists of seasonal vegetables, avocado, brown rice, hummus, dukkah and homemade dressing. It’s a bowl bursting full of colour with wholesome and fresh ingredients surrounding the brown rice. Texturally well balanced, the ingredients complements well with each other along with nutty flavours from the hummus. I could totally eat this everyday for our 12 week challenge.
It’s really great to see more places in Perth offering wholesome and healthy food. I would really love to come back to Pearth to try their delicious smoothie bowls. It’s the perfect treat or refresher to kick start your day this summer!
