Food and fun at the Food Circus

Come one, come all! The Food Circus is coming to town!

What is this Food Circus about you ask? The Food Circus is an innovative, two day pop-up experience travelling to eight Hawaiian shopping centres from October. A collaboration with renowned chef, Iain Lawless, the Food Circus is designed to provide shoppers with a vibrant experience and a unique place to shop, eat, play and connect. It’s all about food, fun and surprises.

Recently, I was invited to the media launch and preview of the Food Circus. Walking through the grand entrance, we were transported to a carnival of delicious food, retailer stalls and classic side show alley attractions. Think of kissing booths, high striker and tin can alleys. If you are looking to soak in the atmosphere and relax, there’s also mobile library with eclectic furniture, vintage posters and displays.

We were treated with lots of food on the night of the food circus preview. We enjoyed empanadas from Las Empanadas, Phillipino fare from Chinoy’s Phillipino, paellas from Kamal’s Quarter, crepes by What the Flip, tacos from Mojito Cantina and tender beef cheek spring rolls by Chloe and Kelly. If the food sounds good to you, you should also check out some of the retailer stalls too. There’s the Herb Cart, organic teas by Deva Teas, a tarot card reading stall and even a barber if you want an instant haircut!

The Food Circus will start its journey around Perth at Carillon City, popping up on the 9th and 10th of October. Want to find out more about the circus and where it’s popping? Follow foodcircusperth on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Will I see you at the circus?

I would like to thank Amanda and the Hawaiian team for the invitation to attend the Food Circus media launch, the delicious food stalls that cooked up a storm for us, the retailer stalls, the fun sideshow alley attractions to our goodie bag we got to take home.
