Seriously damn good burgers.
Recently, Short Order has been the talk of the town and raved upon by many foodies as the best burgers in Perth. After seeing those juicy burgers from Short Order on Instagram, Elwyn and I were determined to make a trip down to Fremantle to treat ourselves to these amazing burgers. Located in the Mantle is where you can find Short Order, which only pops up on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
We arrived at the Mantle at 7.30pm and took our seat at the counter overlooking the action in the kitchen. Elwyn had the Fiery SOB. It’s a combination of Sriracha aioli and jalapenos together with the beef pattie, smoked mozarella, American cheddar, lettuce and tomato. I had the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger which has a touch of caramelised onion, maple candied bacon, SOB BBQ sauce, aioli and pickles on top of a beef pattie with smoked mozarella and cheddar.
With a big appetite, we also shared a Short Order burger and fries with a Sriracha aioli sauce. My verdict of the burgers? It was delicious. Like what I have heard, the best burgers are definitely right here at Short Order. There are so many elements which makes the burgers stand out. The brioche bun is pillowy soft and fluffy. The patty itself, which is cooked to medium rare is juicy, seasoned well and bursting full of flavour. It’s a true burger love at Short Order. I’m taken to burger heaven.
Burgers and fries together is a matchmake in heaven. The shoestring fries are at Short Order are well seasoned with a hint of crisp. We were recommended the Sriracha aioli sauce to go with our fries. The Sriracha aioli sauce gives a good kick of chilli, making it the perfect combination to the crisp shoestring fries.
Now I know why Short Order burgers are highly raved upon many and I can definitely say that it’s one of the best burgers in Perth. If you’ve got the love for burgers, head down to The Mantle on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. You do not want to miss out. I am looking forward to my next visit.

Why are Take me to foodie heaven’s posts so positive? Because I love to share and spread the word about good food. If the experience overall is bad, I will not blog about it because criticism is not my middle name.
Juicy patty, melted cheese and boy does that bun look delicious on its own!!! Look like all the boxes are ticked. Did it have its on “special S.O.B” sauce? :P! Maybe it needs that final touch of mystery to give the whole thing a little suspense!
Oh yes, the burgers here definitely ticked all the boxes! It’s a must try 🙂 Would be awesome with that final touch of mystery, to top it all off 😉
