Ahoy me hearties! Get ready to fill your belly with grog and grub at Mount Hawthorn local, The Pirate Bar!

If you love themed bars with a good selection of food and drinks, you will have to check out The Pirate Bar where the entire bar is Pirate themed. There is also a little courtyard outside perfect for those cool, balmy evenings. If you have kids, there is also a treasure chest full of kids activities that will keep them entertained.

We visited Pirate Bar one Sunday evening with friends. When we arrived, the bar was buzzing with good vibes and live music which created a relaxing and chilled atmosphere. We shared a Pirate Plate which consisted of Greek Lamb Sliders, Pork & Water Chestnut Spring Rolls, Wild Mushroom Arancini and Calamari. So perfect for sharing and perfect with our drinks! We thoroughly enjoyed each of the food on the Pirate Plate which was full of flavour.

Next, we had the Pirate’s Burger. The Pirate’s Burger was delicious in flavours and the house-made patty was juicy. It’s so hearty, fresh and flavoursome.

We also shared some chicken wings and selected the Peri Peri and BBQ sauce. The other flavours available were herb, hot sauce, garlic & parmesan cheese, Thai and plain. The chicken wings were marinated to perfection and were so tender. It was finger licking good! If you like it spicy, we dare you to go for the Peri Peri sauce. You will definitely be on fire!

Lastly, we had the Italiano Chicken Pizza which comprised of roast chicken, prosciutto, ricotta, mushroom, mozzarella and tomato base. Flavourwise it was very well balanced and tasty. Loved the slight crisp on the crust too!

Not only The Pirate Bar has delicious and hearty food, but they also have a good selection of drinks including cocktails, craft beers on tap and rum. I really love how they name their cocktails too. Yep, it’s all Pirate themed!

Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience at The Pirate Bar and loved the relaxing atmosphere including the friendly and welcoming service. Come on Fridays and Sundays and be serenaded by Live Music from local artists. Looking for something fun to do?
