The Standard

On a Friday evening, I decided to catch up with my friend, Giuls over dinner and drinks at The Standard, a newly opened bar and restaurant along Roe Street at Northbridge. One step inside The Standard and the atmosphere is bustling with people hanging out on a Friday night and having post work drinks and food to celebrate the end of another week. When you walk past the kitchen and bar, a door takes you to the outdoor garden where you can enjoy your food and drinks under the stars or head up the stairs to get views of Perth … Continue reading The Standard

Chesters Restaurant

One fine Saturday mid morning, the family and I decided to take a drive down to Swan Valley for a good lunch. One of the places that we were keen to go back to was Elmar’s. Unfortunately, Elmar’s was closed for a function on the day and it will be re-opened to the public at 1.30 pm. As we were quite hungry, we decided to head next door to give Chesters Restaurant a try, since we could also use our Entertainment Gold Card there too! Take a step down memory lane and Chesters Restaurant was once a fruit drying shed … Continue reading Chesters Restaurant

Rumours

After reading some reviews on Urbanspoon and Dimmi, my parents and I decided to give Rumours a try for dinner after church as it was only 10 minutes away from home. Coincidentally, there was also a voucher for Rumours in the current Entertainment Book which allows you to get 25% off the total bill. Rumours is located in the suburb of Tuart Hill, on the corner of Wanneroo Road and Cape Street. The restaurant is quite large and from table to table, it was quite spacious. Rumours also has a really nice and lovely ambience with live piano music playing … Continue reading Rumours

Roast and Red at The Brisbane Hotel

You can never go wrong with having a hearty roast for dinner. Recently, I received an invitation to attend The Brisbane Hotel’s Roast and Red night and thought that it would be perfect for Matt and I to go out for our very first dinner together. So, on a cold, chilly wintry Tuesday night, Matt and I set off to have our roast dinner at The Brisbane. This was also our first time dining at The Brisbane too. Roast & Red is held every Tuesday night during winter at The Brisbane with a generous serving of a traditional pub roast. … Continue reading Roast and Red at The Brisbane Hotel
